Abstract
Der Angriff Russlands auf die Ukraine und seine Folgen für das Welternährungssystem haben die Hungerthematik sprichwörtlich mit aller Gewalt zurück ins Zentrum der politischen und medialen Aufmerksamkeit gebracht. Endlich wird darüber berichtet, dass rund 828 Millionen Menschen hungern und dass eine Welt ohne Hunger in immer weitere Ferne rückt und die Ziele der Agenda 2030 nicht mehr zu erreichen sind. Doch in der Analyse der Hungerlage konzentrieren sich Politik und Medien allzu häufig allein auf den Krieg und seine Folgen.
Abstract
Russia’s attack on Ukraine and its consequences for the world food system have literally brought the issue of hunger back into the centre of political and media attention with a vengeance. It is finally being reported that around 828 million people are hungry and that a world without hunger is moving further and further away and that the goals of the 2030 Agenda are no longer achievable. But in analysing the hunger situation, politicians and the media too often focus only on the war and its consequences.
